A Bird for All Occasions was a special exhibit featuring the work of Pallavi Sen. The exhibit was held from Monday January 25th till Friday the 29th with a closing reception that night. Each piece is only a few inches in height and length, but with intricate detail. A good piece of work can be said that it's measure is in the amount of time the viewer can stay captured by it. With that, despite the relatively small size, there is an engrossing amount to see in each piece. The exhibit itself appeared to be thoughtfully planned with the work facing opposite walls.

Capture Me 01 "Melanie Zdonczyk"

I've never been the one to use an adage, but in the case of Miss Zdonczyk I think there is nothing more suitable. There's an exuberant bubble in this small woman, and it shows everyday. Melanie Zdonczyk is an 18 year-old Pennsylvania born student attending her freshman year at CCAD. I chose to spotlight her because there is a definite promise in her fashion work. In the past weeks I was introduced to some of her recent work and was pleasantly surprised to see how kitsch it was yet not overbearing. If you know my taste in fashion, bright bold colors are the least to have me on my back, nevertheless; I was satisfied and inspired.
